Introduction President Harry Truman, the 33rd president, was a honorable man as shown in this quote, The heroism of our troops was matched by that of the armed forces of the nation s that fought by our side they absorbed the blows and shared to the full in the ultimate destruction of the enemy.† This quote shows how the president was caring. He was a great man and is able to do many things such as ending World War II and he has also used the world most powerful weapon, the atomic bomb. Harry Truman, the 33rd president of the United States, has made many accomplishments, and that’s why he learned and adapted to how his work was done. II. Early Years and Education Harry S. Truman was born in Lamar, Missouri on May 8, 1884. He and his two siblings, the boy, Vivian, and the girl, Mary Jane, worked on a farm for twelve years. (He got a received, a ideal religious education and studied the piano. When he was young he wanted to become a pianist. He could not play sports because of his thick glasses. He was influenced by a book called â€Å"Great Men and Famous Women† which showed him how to govern, and to follow in the footsteps of the great and famous people. After growing up the farm where he was born, he had done various jobs to help support his family. He was once a timekeeper for a railroad construction firm and he also worked as a clerk for a bank in Kansas City.
